Well so I could not afford all the pretty CNCed metal sonics, so I had to make do with the Character Options toy.
After some dremeling and resoldering, I got a new button to sit in the slider. Looks more like 9th's, actually, since the one used in season 3-4 had a flat slider. Swapped out the UV LED in the emitter for an ultra-bright Blue LED too. The purple was bugging me.
Probably gonna have to paint this up... Whenever I find chrome paint.
Looks pretty decent now. Works much better than the Original. Rather pleased with it.

This might be a bit too late to ask, but, how did you open up the top part to replace the bulb? I tried it with mine and just about butchered it.
